Dr. Siamak Honardar - MD, CCFP

Family Physician | Minor Surgery & Circumcision

Dr. Siamak Honardar is a family physician with extensive surgical training and more than a decade of clinical experience in general surgery. He completed his surgical training from 1996 to 2000 and subsequently practiced as a general surgeon in Iran before moving to Canada in 2011.

Following his arrival in Canada, Dr. Honardar worked with Alberta Health Services as a surgical assistant at Foothills Medical Centre, gaining valuable experience within the Canadian healthcare system and surgical environment. He later completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Calgary from 2017 to 2019 and has since practiced comprehensive family medicine in Calgary.

With his combined background in general surgery and family medicine, Dr. Honardar provides assessment and selected minor surgical procedures in a professional, private, and patient-centred setting at KingsCare Medical Clinic.

Minor Surgery

Dr. Honardar provides consultation and selected minor surgical procedures, including assessment and management of lumps and bumps, skin lesions, cysts, warts, and other suitable conditions, as well as selected biopsies and minor surgical excisions when clinically appropriate.

Each patient is assessed individually to determine whether the condition is suitable for an office-based procedure or requires referral to another surgical service. Procedures are performed using appropriate sterile techniques, local anaesthesia when indicated, and careful attention to patient comfort and safety.

A referral from a family physician is required for a minor-surgery consultation. Following receipt of the referral, the KingsCare Medical Clinic team will contact the patient to arrange an appropriate consultation appointment.

Circumcision Services - All Ages

Dr. Honardar also provides circumcision services for patients of all ages, from infants and children to adolescents and adults.

His extensive surgical background allows him to provide individualized assessment and circumcision care in a professional, private, and respectful medical environment. Each patient is assessed before the procedure to discuss the indication, expected benefits, potential risks, alternatives, aftercare, and any age-specific considerations.

Circumcision procedures are provided following appropriate medical assessment and informed consent, with attention to patient safety, privacy, comfort, and postoperative care.

A referral from a family physician is required for a circumcision consultation. Once a referral is received, KingsCare Medical Clinic reception will contact the patient or family to arrange the consultation and discuss the next steps.

Dr. Honardar is fluent in Farsi and is currently accepting new patients.
